Central bank: Russia’s trend inflation slows down to 4.85% in July
MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s trend inflation slowed down to 4.85% in July from 4.90% in June as the inflationary pressure of the most consistent components of the consumer price index has stabilized slightly above the inflation target of 4%, the central bank said in a statement on Friday.
The regulator also said it had changed the seasonal adjustments calculation methodology for price indices, and revised its trend inflation estimate for June to 4.90% from 5.30%, the authority said.
Medium-term risks of inflation exceeding 4% annually still prevail over the risks of it falling below the target.
